About This Call
Seven Deadly Sins: Excellence in Photography is an international juried photography exhibition presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts. Artists are invited to interpret the theme of the seven deadly sins—lust, envy, sloth, gluttony, pride, wrath, and greed—in their own unique way. The exhibition runs October 13 - November 11, 2018, with an opening reception on October 13 from 5-7pm.
Submissions are open to both professional and amateur photographers internationally. Entry fee is $15 for the first image and $10 for each additional image, with a maximum of three images per submission. All images must be submitted in JPEG format with a minimum size of 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72dpi and maximum file size of 5mb. Thirty works will be selected for the gallery exhibition and featured in a printed exhibition catalog. All submitted work will be shown in a digital gallery on the organization's website. The juror is photographer Amy Arbus.
Total prize money is $3,250, including a $1,000 grand prize, $750 second prize, $500 third prize, and four judge's choice awards of $250 each to be announced at the opening reception. Selected photographers will be notified on September 10. Accepted work must be received by October 1. The Center will provide black wood frames in three size options: 16 X 20, 19 ¾ X 19 ¾, or 24 X 35 ¾. Artists may offer work for sale; the Center takes a 40% commission. Copyright remains with the photographer. Contact: [email protected].
