About This Call
For over fifty years, Septemberfest has presented an exposition of high quality arts and crafts by national artists and craftspersons on the grounds of the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas. The event is open to individual artists and craftspersons presenting their own individual work. No galleries, studios, agents or anyone representing an artist will be eligible. No artist will be admitted whose work has not been reviewed and approved by the artist selection committee.
The show is held outdoors on the grounds of the Museum of the Southwest. Artists must provide their own displays and white canopy tents and are responsible for set-up and display. Electricity is provided by the venue. Single booths are $250, double booths are $350, and shared space is $200 per artist. Displays may not extend more than two feet from the booth. Collection of sales tax is the responsibility of the artist. Security is provided continuously 24 hours a day. A hospitality tent will be provided with cold water and snacks. Load-in begins Thursday, September 10th, with booths required to be set up by 3pm Friday, September 11th. The preview party is Friday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday hours are 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
