About This Call
The Bridge Arts Foundation invites artists worldwide to submit artwork for "Seeking Light," an open call exhibition program. The exhibition will be hosted at The Scholart Selection gallery, located at 417 S Mission Dr, San Gabriel, CA, from April 20th to May 19th, 2024. This is an in-gallery exhibit open to artists of any background worldwide, age 18 and older. All mediums and genres are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and mixed media. Artwork(s) directly printed or drawn on mounting board, matboard, or foam board will not be accepted.
Submission requirements include up to 5 artworks (images or files), a brief artist biography, an artist statement, and a comprehensive resume. All submitted works must be original creations and should not infringe on third-party copyrights. The entry fee is $30 USD for up to 5 artworks, payable through CaFE via credit card or PayPal. The entry fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. All artworks must be completely ready to hang or display and match what was submitted. Framed pieces must have wire hanging systems, not sawtooth hangers.
The submission deadline is February 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PT. Jurors are Charles Christopher Hill and Rain Lu. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by March 1st, 2024. Accepted artworks must be delivered by April 12th, 2024, either with a prepaid return mailing label or hand-delivered to the gallery. All artwork(s) must be priced for sale and available during the exhibition. The commission structure is 70% artist, 30% gallery. The exhibition will be open to the public and promoted to gallery clients, friends, and followers.
