Core Art Space invites all artists working in any mediums (2D and 3D, except video and installations) to participate in this exhibition exploring abstraction. The exhibition considers abstraction from multiple perspectives—work based on the material world, inner life, transient feelings, or purely non-objective approaches.

Entries must be submitted electronically by Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with a $35.00 entry fee for up to 3 works. Submissions should include 1-3 images. Work must be no larger than 48 inches on its longest side, including frame; work exceeding these parameters will be disqualified. Artists should list all media used in the description field for their entries. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of technique, creativity, and craftsmanship.

The juror is Michael Paglia, an art and architecture critic who wrote a weekly column for Westword for 25 years, taught art history at the University of Colorado at Denver, and received a Colorado Governor's Award for the Arts in 2023. Jury dates are January 22-24, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent by Tuesday, January 28, 2025. All accepted work must arrive by Friday, February 7, 2025 at 4 p.m. The exhibition runs Friday, February 14 through Sunday, March 2, 2025, with an artist reception on Friday, February 14, 5:00-10:00 p.m. Core Art Space is located at 6501 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214.
