Second LaGrange Southeast Regional

The Second LaGrange Southeast Regional is a juried competition open to artists over 18 years of age from the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. All work must be original and completed within the last two years.

The competition includes the following categories: Drawings, Paintings, Prints, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, and Mixed Media. Entry fee is $35 for up to 4 works. Submissions must include 1-4 images. Paintings, Prints, and Drawings will be exhibited at the LaGrange Art Museum, while Photography, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Mixed Media will be exhibited at the Lamar Dodd Art Center of LaGrange College. Paintings, Prints, and Drawings must be framed or have museum-finished edges, ready for hanging with wire in place. Works on paper must be matted with white or off-white mats under plastic glazing, not glass, with a maximum framed size not exceeding 84 inches in either height or width. Ceramics, Sculpture, Decorative Arts, and Mixed Media should not exceed six feet in any direction or weigh more than 400 pounds. Artwork requiring installation must be delivered and installed by the artist and disassembled and picked up by April 27, 2018.

Accepted artists will be notified by email by January 12, 2018. Works must be delivered between January 16 and February 2, 2018. The awards presentation and gala receptions will be held on February 16, 2018. Exhibitions will be on view through April 20, 2018. Purchase Awards will be made, with purchased works added to the permanent collection. The Juror will also present Merit Awards to a limited number of works. Artists must pay shipping costs to and from the exhibition site. Work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition and storage. Neither the sponsors nor personnel assume liability for damage or loss in transit.
