About This Call
The South Carolina Watermedia Society invites entries for the 2023 Spring Digital Member Show. Entry is open from January 15, 2023, until midnight EDT on February 15, 2023. The entry fee is $25 for members; an additional piece may be submitted for a $5 media fee. Both pieces will be eligible for the show and awards.
Submissions must be the sole work of the entering artist. All water-soluble media are acceptable, except water-soluble oils. Where collage is used, it should be less than 50 percent of the image. Images painted from published sources or completed under instruction in a class or workshop are not acceptable. Work should have been created after January 1, 2020. Entrants must be current SCWS members; membership is open to adults 18 or older.
Accepted artists will be notified on March 1, 2023. The top three paintings will receive awards. Entries will be displayed digitally on the SCWS website for one year. The 2023 juror is Christopher Leeper, a realist painter whose award-winning work has been shown in solo and juried exhibitions throughout the country.
