About This Call
The South Carolina Watermedia Society is accepting entries for the 2026 Spring Digital Show. The competition is open to members with current dues (January 1 through December 31). Membership is available to adults 18 or older.
All work submitted must be the sole work of the entering artist. All water-soluble media are acceptable, except water-soluble oils. Where collage is used, watermedia should comprise more than 50 percent of the image. Images painted from published sources, completed under instruction in a class or workshop, or created using artificial intelligence are not acceptable and will result in disqualification with a one-year penalty. There is no restriction on the year in which the artwork was completed. No work previously exhibited in a SCWS national exhibition or the online exhibition may be submitted.
Submit 1-2 images of your work. Entry fee is $25.00 plus a $10.00 media fee. The juror is Donna Morrison. Award winners will be notified via email. The top four paintings will receive monetary awards: First - $250, Second - $150, Third - $100, Honorable Mention - $50. The entry deadline is February 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
