Sculpture Now - Art 2 the 3rd Dimension

This exhibition focuses on the unique aspects of three-dimensional expression, such as the use of space, light, multiple points of view, tactile elements, kinetic potential, and interactive possibilities. Explore the height, width, and depth of your creativity through expression in the message you wish to impart, the diversity of materials you choose, the beauty of your design, and the excellence of your craftsmanship.

The exhibition runs December 2, 2023 – January 3, 2024 at Art League RI Gallery, 80 Fountain Street, Suite 107A, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Entry deadline is October 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $35.00 plus a $10.00 media fee. Submit 1-3 images of your work. All 3D mediums are eligible; 2D artwork is acceptable only if it is a component of or supporting a 3D artwork. Artwork must be original, exhibition ready to install with appropriate hardware, and appropriate for viewers of all ages. Maximum size is 72" wide and 96" high with a weight limit of 100 lbs. Artists may submit multiple pieces (diptych, triptych, etc.) to make up one work. Artwork previously exhibited with ALRI is not permitted.

Awards: 1st Prize $500, 2nd Prize $400, 3rd Prize $200. Notification of acceptance will be sent on or before November 4, 2023. In-person drop-off is November 17-19, 2023, 12:00-5:00 pm by appointment only. Shipped artwork must be received by November 20, 2023 and requires a $15 handling fee and pre-paid return shipping label. Public reception and awards ceremony is Saturday, December 2, 2023. Artwork pickup for in-person deliveries is January 5-6, 2024, 12:00 pm-6:00 pm by appointment. Juror: Chris Kane, figurative sculptor and foundry owner with experience in bronze, aluminum, and plaster sculpture.
