Sculpture in the Square: Old Town Fort Collins

Old Town Square, recently renovated and nestled amongst historic buildings in Old Town Fort Collins, is home to Friday night concerts and year-round festivals, shopping and dining. Six sculptures will be chosen for a year-long outdoor exhibit installed on Saturday, April 30th, 2016. Each selected artist will receive a $750 honorarium, and one artist will be awarded a $750 People's Choice Award. If artwork is sold while on loan, the organizers will retain a 10% commission.

The call accepts highly durable and resilient sculptures of any media from artists nationwide. Each artist may submit up to 3 different pieces. All sculptures must be adhered to a metal plate that will be welded to existing bases. The metal plate must fit on a 3'x3' or smaller pedestal. Installation will take place on Saturday, April 30th, 2016, and artists or artist representatives must be present to install their sculpture.

Submission requirements include 3 different images of each sculpture and a brief artist statement. Applicants must submit a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 9 total images. The application deadline is April 1, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of acceptance on April 5, 2016.
