Sculpture in the Square - Old Town Fort Collins

Old Town Square is located amongst historic buildings in Old Town Fort Collins and hosts Friday night concerts, year-round festivals, shopping, and dining. The goal is to expose citizens of Fort Collins to quality art and artists, compensate artists, and promote their talents.

Six sculptures will be chosen for a year-long outdoor exhibit, installed on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium, and one artist will be awarded a $750 People's Choice Award. All artists and a guest are invited to attend lunch on installation day. If artwork is sold while on loan, the organizers will retain a 10% commission.

Highly durable and resilient sculptures of any media are accepted from artists nationwide. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces. Submissions must include 2 different images per sculpture. Each piece must have a metal plate adhered to its base to secure it to existing pedestals; the plate must fit on a 2' x 2' or 3' x 3' plinth. Installation is mandatory on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, and the artist or artist representative must be present. Sculptures must fit on the specified plinths.
