About This Call
Old Town Square is nestled amongst historic buildings in Old Town Fort Collins and is home to Friday night concerts and year-round festivals, shopping and dining. The goal is to expose the citizens of Fort Collins to quality art and artists while helping to promote their talents.
Six sculptures will be chosen for a year-long outdoor exhibit installed on Saturday, April 29th, 2017. Each selected artist will receive a $750 honorarium, and one artist will be awarded a $750 People's Choice Award. If artwork is sold while on loan, the organizers will retain a 10% commission. Highly durable and resilient sculptures of any media from artists nationwide are accepted. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces.
Submission Requirements: Submit 2 different images for each sculpture (entries without 2 images per sculpture will be considered incomplete). Each piece must have a metal plate to secure it to existing pedestals, and the plate must fit on a 2' x 2' or 3' x 3' plinth. Installation is on Saturday, April 29th, 2017, and the artist or artist representative must be present to install the sculpture. Timeline: Entry deadline is March 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MST; jurying begins March 6, 2017; artists are notified of acceptance on March 10, 2017.
