Sculpture in the Square - Old Town Fort Collins

Old Town Square is located in the heart of Fort Collins, Colorado, among historic buildings and hosts weekly summer concerts, year-round festivals, shopping, and dining. The goal is to expose citizens of Fort Collins to quality art and artists, compensate artists well, and help promote their talents.

Six sculptures will be chosen for a year-long outdoor exhibit, installed on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium, and one artist will be awarded an additional $1,000 People's Choice Award. All artists and a guest are invited to attend a lunch on installation day. If artwork is sold while on loan, the organizers will retain a 10% commission.

The call accepts highly durable and resilient sculptures of any media from artists nationwide. Each sculpture must be at least 4 feet tall and have a metal plate adhered to its base that can fit on a 2' x 2' or 3' x 3' plinth. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces, with 2 images per sculpture required. Installation is mandatory on April 23, 2022, and the artist or artist representative must be present.
