The show is open to any 3-D work in any sculpture or craft medium. No paintings, photographs, or other 2-D work will be accepted. Eligibility: This is a regional show open to artists 18 years or older who reside in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. Work must have been completed in the last three years and cannot have been previously shown at Fine Line. Each applicant may submit up to 3 pieces in one entry. Entry fee is $35.00 (non-refundable). For each piece, submit 4 images: front, back, side view, and one detailed area. Images must be titled to include the piece name and image type. All pieces must be original and for sale. Artists must provide an artist statement of no more than 1000 characters without including their name.
Jury notification will be sent on or before April 16, 2022. Awards totaling $800.00 will be given. The gallery charges a 30% sales commission on artwork sold during the show. Fine Line handles all sales, sales tax, and provides artists with payment after the show ends. Artists may optionally put work for sale on the Fine Line website during the show's duration, with Fine Line handling all taxes and shipping costs for online sales. Artwork size when packed for shipping cannot exceed 48 x 32 x 72 inches and cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Fine Line provides insurance coverage from receipt of work until the end of the show at 70% of the sale price. The gallery has grey pedestals for display and locked cabinets for smaller items. Hanging work should have wire and screw eyes; no saw-tooth hangers or clip frames. The gallery cannot hang artwork from the ceiling or affix work to walls with nails or screws. Fine Line provides 24/7 video security monitoring. Delivery and check-in: May 7-10, 2022 (10 am by hand). Pick-up: June 25, 2022. Unsold shipped work will be returned between June 28-30, 2022.
