Sculpture at the Kavanagh

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the "Sculpture at the Kavanagh" exhibit to be held at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois, from March 26 - May 8, 2021. The show is open to any 3-D work in any sculpture or craft medium. No paintings, photographs, or other 2-D work will be accepted.

"Sculpture at the Kavanagh" is a regional show open to artists 18 years or older who reside in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted per artist. All pieces must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously shown at Fine Line. All pieces must be for sale. The Kavanagh Gallery Committee will curate the show and charge a 30% sales commission on any artwork sold. Fine Line is responsible for installation, the opening reception, and sales.

Entry fee is $35.00 (non-refundable). Payment must be received by February 16, 2021. Work samples should include 1-3 images of the actual work to be exhibited. Artists must submit an artist statement limited to 1000 characters. The artist is responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line Creative Arts Center and must include a return shipping label. Packed artwork cannot exceed 48" x 32" x 72" and must weigh no more than 50 pounds. The gallery provides grey pedestals for display and uses the Walker Display system for wall-hung work. Hanging work should have wire and screw eyes; no saw-tooth hangers or clip frames. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage (valued at 70% of sale price) from receipt of work until the end of the show. Insurance during shipping is the artist's responsibility. Awards totaling $800.00 will be given. Jury notification will be sent on or before February 29, 2021.
