sculpTOUR 2024

SculpTOUR is an annual juried sculpture competition held by the Anderson Arts Center in partnership with the City of Anderson. The competition is open to all sculptors working in North America. Up to four outdoor sculptures will be selected for a year-long outdoor exhibition, with each selected piece receiving a $2,000 cash award.

Submissions require a $40 non-refundable application fee per sculpture. Artists may submit up to 2 applications and must provide 3-6 images and up to 3 videos of their work. All work must be suitable for outdoor installation and capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions, high traffic in a public park environment, and must be maintenance-free during the exhibition period. Sculptures must be structurally secured and surface mounted to a concrete pad with anchor bolts or similar devices, and installation must be attended by the artist or their representative.

Selected sculptures must be installed between April 1-11, 2024. Works will be selected by a committee composed of City of Anderson and Anderson Arts Center representatives. Notification of acceptance will be provided by March 11, 2024. The Anderson Arts Center will provide insurance throughout the exhibition period. Artists may sell their work during the exhibition period, but the work must remain on site for the duration of the show. The City of Anderson is hosting the International Network of Michelin Cities Conference in mid-April 2024, bringing additional visibility to the exhibition.
