Scientific Illustration

Investigations into Scientific Illustration is a national, juried art exhibition at Fe Gallery in Sacramento, CA. The show runs from February 10 through March 24, 2018, with an opening reception on February 10, 2018. Art drop-off is January 20-26, 2018.

Multiple art mediums are accepted, including photography, fabric, mixed media, paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolor), drawings, ink, graphite, pastels, colored pencil, encaustic, fiber arts, and sculpture (metal, clay, wood, mixed media). Video is not accepted. No work requiring special installation or instructions will be accepted. All artists over 18 may submit original work completed in the last two years. Work must be ready to hang or free-standing with 3-D pedestal space available. All work must be original, for sale, and available for the entire run of the show. Work previously shown at Fe Gallery is not eligible. Entries are limited to six pieces per artist.

Submit 1-6 digital images per artist. Each artwork must be represented by one image; detail shots should be combined into a single split image. Diptychs or triptychs should be submitted as a single image. Entry fee is $20.00 for the first entry and $5.00 for each additional entry. The best in show award is $500.00. Application deadline is November 30, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
