Schwa Show National Juried Exhibition

This national juried exhibition is open to artists age 18 and up working in any media and subject matter. All work must have been completed in the past 3 years and never previously exhibited at Emerge. All pieces must fit through a standard sized door and be available for the entire exhibition. Video entries are accepted but require special equipment to be provided by the artist. Work must be "ready to hang" or will not be eligible.

Each artist may submit up to 5 entries. The entry fee is $20 for three entries and $5 for each additional entry. Entries must be submitted online by August 31, 2019. Accepted work must be shipped by September 25 or hand delivered September 26-27 between 10am-8pm, or Saturday, September 28, 10am-12pm. The exhibition runs October 4-24, 2019, with an opening reception on Friday, October 4 from 5-8pm. Accepted work must be picked up by Friday, October 25 between 10am-8pm or Saturday, October 26 between 10am-4pm, or must have a prepaid mailing label for return shipping.

Three cash awards will be given: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, and 3rd Place $100. Emerge Gallery retains a 40% commission on sales (30% for ECU Students). Work is assumed for sale unless an insurance value is provided and marked NFS. Payment will be mailed within 45 days of the exhibition's end. The juror is Kiki Farish.
