Scene: A National Juried Exhibition of Artworks Inspired by Cities, Towns, Landmarks, and Places

Scene is a national juried exhibition of 2D and 3D artworks inspired by cities, towns, landmarks, and places. Artists are invited to submit work that responds to the question: What scene inspires your work? Work may be no longer than 60 inches in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. All styles and aesthetics are considered.

The exhibition is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without the aid of an instructor or kit, and produced within the last eight years. Content should be appropriate for all viewers. In your artist statement, please indicate what landmark, place, city, or town inspired your work.

Entry fee is $45 for 3 works (one image per submission), with additional submissions at $5 each (maximum 10 submissions). Submit 3-10 images via Call for Entries. Awards: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $150. The d'Art Center retains a 60/40 commission on sales (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Exhibition dates: January 15 - February 13, 2022. Reception: Thursday, January 27, 2022, 5:30-7:30pm. Accepted works must arrive by January 9, 2022. Notifications will be sent by email by December 20, 2021. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return labels via UPS or FedEx. The d'Art Center is not responsible for damage during shipping and transit; artists should insure their work.
