SC Watermedia Society National Digital Show

The South Carolina Watermedia Society opens its first nationwide digital show. All entries will be displayed digitally on the SCWS website and at the Charleston International Airport atrium from October 7 - November 25, 2017. The digital show will travel around South Carolina from December 2017 through September 2018. $8,000 in prizes will be awarded, with Best in Show receiving $1,000.

Eligibility is open to all artists residing in the United States. Artwork must be original work in watermedia (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, etc.). Collage is acceptable if primarily composed of a painted surface. Oils and water-soluble oils are not accepted. Artwork must not have been shown in a previous SCWS show. One image per entry is required. There are no size or weight limits for digital submission. If selected in the top ten for the traveling show, artists must send the original piece or a giclee print with a maximum size of 40" by 30". There is no time limit on when artwork was created.

Entry fee is $55 for non-members; current SCWS members receive free entry with a coupon code. An awards luncheon will be held at noon on October 7 in Charleston, SC. The opening reception will be held October 7 at the Charleston International Airport from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Top ten award winners will have their work displayed at the Charleston International Airport and will participate in the traveling show throughout South Carolina.
