About This Call
Presented by Saugatuck Douglas Art Club, this juried art fair takes place July 25-26, 2026, from 10am to 5pm in Village Square, downtown Saugatuck, Michigan. The fair is held during Venetian Weekend, a two-day festival with music, events, a boat parade, and fireworks, attracting thousands of visitors. The event welcomes artists, makers, and craftspeople across all mediums to display and sell their work, with average attendance of 2,000 to 3,000 visitors.
Booth spaces are approximately 10' x 10' and cost $250. Setup begins Friday evening at approximately 6pm or Saturday morning at 7am. Exhibitors must provide their own tent with weights only (no stakes allowed due to underground sprinklers). A free shuttle bus runs from 7am to 10:30am from the designated parking lot, with additional shuttle service available throughout the day for $1 each way.
Applications require submission of 4 images (a booth shot is required) and a $30 application fee. The application deadline is April 15, 2026, with booth fees due upon acceptance. Accepted artists may only exhibit work in the category for which they were accepted, and all work must be created and produced by the artist. This is a rain-or-shine event. Booth rental refunds are available only if requested before June 13, 2026. Application fees are non-refundable. Artists are responsible for carrying proper insurance, protecting their work and setup, and collecting Michigan sales tax. Proceeds support scholarships for local art students and art programs in local schools.
