Santo Foundation: Individual Artists Grants 2010

The Santo Foundation was established in 2009 to recognize and assist the careers of individual visual artists. The foundation's mission is to support visual artists allowing continued pursuit of a career believed to be one of the most challenging and rewarding for the future of cultural heritage.

The 2010 Call for Entry offers two $3,500 individual artists grants. The distinguished juror is Barbara O'Brien, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City. Graduate students and all emerging to mature artists are eligible to apply. The foundation is open to US and international candidates.

Accepted mediums include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, installation (still images only), sculpture, metals, ceramics, and interdisciplinary work (still images only). Performance art and video art are not accepted. Applicants must submit 10 labeled jpegs of current work and a current resume. The non-refundable application fee is $35.00. Applications are accepted from March 15 through June 30, 2010. Candidates must apply online through WESTAF's CaFE web site at www.callforentry.org.
