About This Call
The Salt Lake Community College Presidents Art Show is open to all Utah artists, both amateur and professional. Artists may submit up to two works, with each piece juried individually. The entry fee is $25.00 per artwork, or $10.00 per item for current SLCC staff, faculty, and students. Additional media fees of $25.00 apply for each image submitted over one.
Artwork must have been completed within the last two years and be original in concept, composition, and execution, or work that has been copied with permission from another source with appropriate credit annotated on the artwork. All artwork must be ready to hang with no assembly or installation required. 2D work must be gallery wall ready with wire or cleats. 3D work cannot exceed 6 feet and 150 pounds and must be stable and ready for display. Artists must provide the medium and dimensions of each piece.
Accepted works must be delivered October 28-30 from 1:00-7:00 pm at Salt Lake Community College, South City Campus, Multipurpose Room, 1575 South State Street, East Side of Building. The show runs November 7-12, 2013, with a reception on November 7 from 5:00-10:00 pm. Pick-up of artwork is November 14-15 from 1:00-6:00 pm. Awards include Best in Show ($1,000), 2nd Place ($500), 3rd Place ($500), and Presidents' Award ($1,000). Artwork may be sold with a 25% commission paid to the Presidents Art Show. Work that differs from the digital entry, is not ready for gallery display, involves copyright violations, hazardous materials, or perishable items will be disqualified.
