About This Call
All Utah artists, amateur and professional, may enter this exhibition. Artists may submit up to two original works completed within the last two years. There is a $15 entry fee per work. All 2D works must have a wired backing and be gallery wall ready. 3D artworks cannot exceed 6 feet and 150 pounds. Artwork must be original in concept, composition, and execution, and completed by the artist alone.
Accepted artworks must be delivered to the Multipurpose Room at SLCC South City Campus (1575 S State Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84115) on Monday, October 26 (8:00 am – 1:00 pm) or Tuesday, October 27 (3:00 – 8:00 pm). The opening reception is Friday, October 30 from 6:00-9:00 pm with awards announced at 7:00 pm. The exhibition runs November 2 – November 13, viewable Monday through Thursday (10:00 am – 7:00 pm) and Friday (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). Artworks must be picked up on Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Art not claimed by November 30, 2015 will become part of Salt Lake Community College's Permanent Collection.
Awards include President's Award ($1,000), Best in Show ($1,000), 2nd place ($500), and 3rd place ($500). Artwork may be sold at a 25% commission paid to the President's Art Show. Artists retain all copyright and intellectual property rights but grant SLCC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, exhibit, advertise, document, and webstream the exhibition, and to use artworks and artist information for educational purposes. Work that differs from digital entry, is not gallery-ready, involves copyright violations, hazardous materials, or safety hazards will be disqualified.
