Salt Lake Community College 2014 Presidents Art Show

All Utah artists, amateur and professional, may enter this exhibition. Artists may submit up to two original works completed within the last two years. 2D works must be gallery wall ready with wire or cleats, and 3D artworks cannot exceed 6 feet and 150 pounds. Entry fee is $20 per work, with an additional $20 media fee for each image over one. Submissions are limited to 1-5 images.

Accepted artworks must be delivered to the Multipurpose Room at SLCC South City Campus (1575 S State Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84115) on October 6-7, 2014 from 1:00-7:00 pm. The artist or artist's representative must personally drop off and pick up artwork; mailed or shipped items will not be accepted. All artworks must be ready to hang with no assembly or installation required. Artworks must be picked up October 16-17 from 1:00-7:00 pm. Any unclaimed artwork by October 31, 2014 will become part of Salt Lake Community College's permanent collection.

The opening reception is October 10 from 6:00-9:00 pm with awards announced at 7:00 pm. The exhibition runs October 10-15, 2014 (closed October 12). Awards include: President's Award ($1,000), Best in Show ($1,000), 2nd place ($500), and 3rd place ($500). Artwork may be sold at a 25% commission paid to the show. Artworks submitted by September 26 will be juried September 29-30, with artist notification by October 1. Work that differs from digital entry, is not ready for gallery display, involves copyright violations, hazardous materials, or safety hazards will be disqualified.
