Salon DRAMA Exhibit

Aurelia Gallery invites submissions for "Salon DRAMA Exhibit," exploring contemporary depictions of drama in 2D art. Drama has been a central topic in art globally since spring 2019, continuing to manifest through health, politics, war, climate change, and other pressing issues. All selected works will be included in the exhibition from October 15 through November 15, 2021.

Aurelia Gallery is a fine arts gallery founded by Romanian-born artist Marius Muresanu, located in historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe. The gallery is housed in one of the oldest adobe structures in Santa Fe and features two landscaped sculpture gardens. The gallery exhibits photography, paintings, prints, sculptures, digital art, and more from US and international artists, both established and emerging.

Submission Requirements: Artists must submit 1-3 images of 2D artwork (no reproductions or derivatives of copyrighted images). Entry fee is $30.00 (non-refundable). Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for installation. Pieces should not exceed 36" on the longest side or weigh more than 25 lbs. Framed pieces must have stretched wire and plexiglass is preferred over glass. Artists must provide a one-page resume with submissions. All accepted artwork must be shipped to the gallery by October 13, 2021, using UPS or FedEx only. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with artwork. All artwork must remain in the gallery for the full exhibition duration. Selected artists will be notified by October 4. For sales, the gallery takes 50% commission and the artist receives 50% of the final sale price. Artists retain all rights to their work and must be 18 years or older and US residents.
