About This Call
Salon at the Triton is a 2D competition and exhibition featuring painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, and photography. The exhibition runs from November 9, 2019 to January 26, 2020 at the Triton Museum of Art.
Eligibility is open to all artists who are residents of California. Submissions must be original works of art completed within the last 5 years. All 2D media, including mixed media, are accepted. Entry fee is $25.00 for the first entry and $10.00 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 10 images per submission. Fees are non-refundable. Online submissions are required with images in jpg format labeled as artist_title. The entry deadline is October 7, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
Juror George Rivera, an artist, art instructor, and former Executive Director & Chief Curator of the Triton Museum of Art, will select place awards in each category. The Curatorial Team at the Triton Museum will select the Best of Show winner, who will receive a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art the following year. Notifications will be sent October 18, 2019. Selected work must be delivered by October 27, 2019. An artists reception is scheduled for November 17, 2019 from 2-4 PM. Artwork pickup is January 27-31, 2020.
