About This Call
The Salmagundi Club is accepting submissions for an exhibition. Artists may submit up to 2 works that have not been previously shown at Salmagundi. Only work not previously exhibited at the venue will be accepted.
Artwork Requirements: Outside dimensions of frames may not exceed 36 inches. Sculptures should be no more than 30 inches high and no more than 40 pounds. All works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging, or if framing is not applicable, must be professionally presentable for gallery display with appropriate mounting. If displaying artwork under glass, plexi-glass is recommended to avoid breakage. Accepted work must remain in place for the duration of the exhibition. Submissions not adhering to exhibition requirements will be omitted, and the Art Committee's decision regarding placement and installation is final.
Submission Details: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified. Artists may edit their entries during the submission period through ShowSubmit but not after the deadline.
Acceptance and Delivery: Acceptance/rejection emails will be sent from ShowSubmit. If accepted, artists may deliver work in-person during receiving days or ship with an expected arrival one week before the exhibition opens. Shipped work must include a prepaid return shipping label and be sent in reusable shipping boxes labeled with the exhibition name. Hangtags from the acceptance email must be printed, filled out legibly, and attached to each artwork before delivery. The Salmagundi Club retains 30% of all sales, with 70% going to the artist. Works marked "NFS" (not for sale) will not be listed on the website during the exhibition but will be archived indefinitely afterward.
