About This Call

The 33rd annual Saint Louis Art Fair presented by Emerson (SLAF) is a nationally juried fine art and fine craft show held in downtown Clayton, Missouri, September 18-20, 2026. SLAF selects 153 artists (plus waitlist) from a jury pool of approximately 1100 applicants. Clayton is one of the nation's most affluent and prestigious business and residential communities, and SLAF is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top fine art fairs, attracting over 130,000 art enthusiasts each year.

The festival features live performing arts ensembles across three stages, 10 of St. Louis' most delectable restaurants, food trucks, and the Creative Castle with educational art projects for children. Artists must submit 5 images for jurying (4 images of work plus 1 outdoor booth image). The jury panel consists of 5 paid arts professionals, peer jurors, and a buyer/collector. Standard booth space is 10'x10' with a 2' buffer, and 500 watts of electricity is provided free.

Application fees range from $40 (early bird until December 31, 2025) to $55 (after March 10, 2026). Standard booth space fee is $685, with double booth space available for $1,450. Cash awards up to $15,000 are offered. Artists must provide $1,000,000 general liability insurance and be present during all festival hours. Work must be original and handcrafted, with reproductions not allowed. Average sales based on 2025 post-event survey were $14,379.
