Saginaw Art Fair 2026

The Saginaw Art Fair is located on Ojibway Island in the historic Riverfront District of Saginaw, Michigan. Now in its 7th year and 3rd year on the island, the fair is managed by a volunteer committee through the Saginaw Art Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. The fair features 65 booth spaces for fine artists and fine craft, with returning artists exempt from the application jury process. Booths are assigned based on Fine Art, Fine Craft, and Emerging Artist categories. The event takes place Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Applications are due by March 31, 2026. Applicants must submit 5 images including one booth shot, and an artist statement or technical description of 1000 characters or less. The application fee is $25.00, and booth fees are due by June 1, 2026. All work must be original and of the artist's own creation. Only hand-constructed wares are permitted; no commercial products or buy/sell items are allowed. Artists must be 18 years or older.

Artist amenities include convenient load-in and load-out at booth spaces, free exhibitor parking, overnight security Thursday and Friday nights, and a complementary Friday Night Artists' Reception. The fair has previously received a $2,000 grant for artist award money, with awards given for each media category and a best in show prize. Accepted mediums include 2D Art, 3D Art, Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing, Fabric/Fiber/Leather, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Wood. Artists are responsible for collection and payment of Michigan state taxes. Merchandise is left overnight at the artist's own risk.
