Saginaw Art Fair 2025

The Saginaw Art Fair is located on the beautiful Ojibway Island in the historic Riverfront District of Saginaw, Michigan. The fair is in its 6th year, managed by a volunteer committee through the Saginaw Art Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. The event takes place Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 from 10 am - 5 pm, featuring 65 booth spaces for fine artists and fine craft. Last year's attendance was about 2500+ people who enjoyed performances on the stage, food court, community booth, and a makerspace.

The fair sits amidst historical architecture, established local businesses, and a vibrant art and music scene. Saginaw is home to the historic Castle Museum, Saginaw Art Museum, and Japanese Cultural Center. Booths are assigned based on Fine Art, Fine Craft, and Emerging Artists categories. Single booths (10' x 10') cost $100 and double booths (20' x 10') cost $175, with a $25 nonrefundable application fee. Artists must submit 5 images including one booth shot, and all work must be original and of the artist's own creation.

Amenities include $2,000 in grant money for artist awards with prizes for each media category and best in show, convenient load-in/load-out, free exhibitor parking, overnight security Thursday and Friday nights, and a complimentary Friday night Artists' Reception. Room block rates are available at Montague Inn Bed and Breakfast. The show is located on grass with booths staked into the ground, and artists must provide their own canopy, display materials, and weights (at least 40 lbs each corner). Electricity is not available.
