SAGE 10th Annual Juried Photography Show - My Hometown

The 10th Annual National Juried Photography Show is a themed exhibition titled "My Hometown" that explores the concept of hometown through the eyes of photographers. This special 10-year exhibition invites photographers nationwide to submit images taken using a camera phone that showcase their hometown—whether through iconic landmarks, community warmth, or hidden gems that hold personal significance. All submissions must be taken on a camera phone and edited only on the phone. Participants should include the phone used and the editing app used with their submissions.

SAGE will print and frame the selected 30 images in black gallery frames to mimic a phone photo gallery. The juror is Adam Jahiel, an internationally known American photographer whose work has been exhibited and published globally and whose photographs are in collections including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Both stages of jurying will be done blindly, with the first round conducted online requiring no shipping of work. Selected artists will be notified by December 16th. The exhibition opens January 21st and closes March 1st, with an Awards Reception on January 30th from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Entry fees are $15 for SAGE members or $25 for non-members for the first photo, with $5 per additional photo (up to 9 total submissions). All work accepted into the show must be for sale. SAGE will retain a 35% commission for member artists and 40% for non-members, with the artist receiving the remainder. SAGE covers all printing and framing costs. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), Second Prize ($750), Third Prize ($500), Fourth Prize ($300), and People's Choice ($150). Eligibility is open to all US artists; work must be original, created within the past five years, and cannot have been included in a prior SAGE Juried Photography show.
