About This Call
SAGA's 87th Annual Members Exhibition will be held at two locations: The Salmagundi Club (7 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10003) from October 24 - November 4, 2022, with an opening reception on October 28, 2022 from 6-8 PM; and The Gallery at The Met Store (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10028) from October 28 - November 4, 2022, with a Meet and Greet on October 30, 2022 from 3-5 PM.
Active SAGA members in good standing may enter up to two prints. Entry fee is $60.00. Prints must be matted in 4-ply white or off-white mats, hinged at the top with a beveled window, in one of these standard sizes: 16"x 20"; 20"x 24"; 24"x 24"; or 24"x 32". Applicants must provide a detailed description of each work in 100 words or less, artist name, contact information, brief bio, title, medium/prevalent technique, and price. Prints from any year are eligible. The Met Store reserves the right to refuse acceptance of submissions that fail to meet specifications or quality standards.
The exhibition will be juried for awards by Ann Shafer, an independent curator and art historian specializing in intaglio printmaking. All prints will be for sale. At The Salmagundi Club, SAGA receives 70% and the artist receives 30% of sales. At The Gallery at The Met Store, there is a 50/50 revenue share between The Met Store and the artist, with a 10% Members of The Met discount on works and a possible 20% discount for Members during the October 30 premier. Unsold works will be returned to SAGA after the installation. Artists must include a prepaid return shipping label; work without one cannot be returned. Artwork should be shipped no earlier than September 15 and must be received by October 7, 2022. Neither SAGA nor The Met is liable for damage or loss of work entered.
