About This Call
The Biennial of Textiles by the Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild is the longest continuous juried show in the Southeast. This year's exhibit focuses on work reflecting the influence of the natural world on the imagination of the artist.
Entry fee is $35.00 ($20.00 for students). Two pieces per entry may be submitted; for each piece, submit one full image and one detail image for juror selection. All work must have been completed within two years of the submission date and must be complete at the time of entry. Pieces must be of original design, executed by the entrant, and one of a kind. Artists must reside in the United States to enter.
The juror is Edie Morton, an Atlanta-based multi-media artist who creates mobiles and sanctuary environments, as well as luminaires and encaustic paintings reflecting her commitment to environmentally-sensitive processes and causes. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and natural settings throughout the southeast.
Exhibit location: Stone Mountain Art Station, 5384 Manor Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Event dates: 5/20/17 - 6/24/17. Awards: First Place - $600, Second Place - $400, Third Place - $200.
