About This Call
IU Kokomo Art Gallery invites photographers to submit work for the Rural Photography Exhibition, a juried exhibition celebrating rural landscapes and countryside imagery. The exhibition will be curated by Art Gallery Director Tara Scott and displayed at the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery, located at 2300 S. Washington St, Kokomo, IN.
Eligibility and Requirements: The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. Submissions must be original photography created within the last two years. Work must not exceed 48 inches in width (measured horizontally). All entries must be submitted as jpeg images. Entry fee is $25 per artist, invoiced upon acceptance. Artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up of work during October 25 – November 1, 2019 (delivery dates) or December 16-20, 2019 (pick-up dates). Work may be personally delivered during gallery hours or shipped at the artist's expense for return shipping. Any work not picked up within 30 days after the exhibition ends will become property of the gallery.
Presentation Standards: 2D artwork must be framed with secure hanging hardware. Canvas sides and staples must be covered. All work must be professionally presented and accurately represented in submitted images. Exhibition dates are November 13 – December 13, 2019, with an opening reception on November 13 from 4-7pm. Artists will be notified of acceptance between September 30 and October 11, 2019. Sales are encouraged, with the gallery receiving a 30% commission.
