Rowan University Robinson Green Art Inclusion

Rowan University is seeking artists to submit proposals for a public artwork installation at Robinson Green on the North Campus as part of the New Jersey State Public Buildings Arts Inclusion Act. The university is interested in artwork that complements the design vision of Robinson Green and enhances its natural physical characteristics, topographical details, and ecology. Artworks that are environmental in discipline and elevate and capture natural elements such as light, movement, and sound are encouraged. The university seeks an artist capable of understanding and reflecting an intersection/crossroads of various academic and natural elements. The work should invite individuals to experience the messaging of the art in a passive or active way. Works with water elements are not being considered. Artists may submit individual proposals or partner with other artists for joint submissions.

The proposed budget is approximately $60,000 and includes design fee, materials, fabrication, transportation, installation, insurance, and photographic documentation of the art process. The commissioned art must be completed and installed by August 31, 2016. Applicants must submit 4-6 images. Eligibility is open to national artists.
