Rowan University Camden Bank Building Art Inclusion

This project invites artists in the Mid-Atlantic region to submit work for art inclusion at the Rowan University Bank Building Addition in Camden, New Jersey, as part of the State of New Jersey Public Buildings Arts Inclusion Act.

The First Camden National Bank & Trust building is located at 606 Cooper Street. Art installations are proposed for the eastern-facing side of the building. Proposed artwork should be dimensional in form and not constructed of materials applied directly to the building surface. The artwork should complement the neo-classical style of the building while considering the unique historical characteristics of Camden, reflect on its urban renaissance, and consider the values of Rowan University.

Project budget: $140,000. Applicants must submit 4-6 images. Schedule: Notification of artists April 25, site visit May 9, final presentations May 23, authorization to proceed June 10, and completion of project Fall 2016. All dates are subject to change. Contact: [email protected].
