Rotary Mother's Day Art Show 2027

Since 1970, the Rotary Club of Studio City-Sherman Oaks has hosted this annual art show in May over Mother's Day weekend. The show features fine artisanal art and crafts including painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture, mixed media, textiles, woodworking, metal sculpting, printmaking, furniture and jewelry. All art must be original artwork created by the artist. Artists are selected based on the quality and uniqueness of their artwork and the quality of their display and representation. The club aims to feature a diverse group of artists and limits artists in any given category to ensure the best environment for sales and a diverse selection for attendees.

Booth spaces are located at Moorpark Park in Studio City and measure 12' width x 18.5'-20' deep depending on tree location. Early bird booth price is $395 plus payment processing fee; regular booth price is $425 plus payment processing fee. Space fees are due approximately one week after notification of acceptance. Participating artists must be on-site the full weekend of the show and are expected to be self-supporting by providing a canopy (optional) and all furniture, supplies and materials needed for display. Booth displays may stay up overnight with light security provided. Vehicles must be moved after art is unloaded and before booth setup. Setup can occur Friday night or Saturday morning, with controlled load-in and load-out provided. Sunday 5 PM is the earliest time to break down booths and retrieve vehicles.

Media categories include ceramics (hand-built or thrown, no molds), drawing, mixed media (2D and 3D), painting, printmaking (signed and numbered originals only), sculpture (hand-built), jewelry (designed and made by artist, no assembled or buy/sell items), photography (shot by artist, signed and numbered), and textiles. All artwork must be original; prints, reproductions, and giclees are acceptable if signed and numbered by the artist. Jewelry and textile artists should note that priority is given to renewing artists, with new applicants placed on a waiting list. Excluded vendors include buy/sell, imports, kit-based, mass-produced items, work not made by applicant, books, permanent jewelry, CDs, pre-packaged foods, personal care items, body art, and living plants. Items involving weapons, nudity, or sensitive wording may be declined. Funds raised benefit numerous charity organizations serving people in need in the community.
