Roswell Museum Holiday Artisan Market

The Roswell Museum and the RMAC Foundation, in partnership with the Pecos Valley Potters Guild, invite artists, artisans, contemporary craftspeople and makers to apply for the second annual Roswell Museum Holiday Artisan Market. This juried art exhibition and sale will be held at the Roswell Museum from December 2 through December 31, showcasing up to 45 artists from around the region. The event will include a festive opening night reception. Sales will be split 60/40 between the artist and the Foundation in benefit of the Roswell Museum.

Selected artists will be requested to provide enough items for the duration of the sale. The total number of items will be determined in conversation with a committee member based on item type, sale price, size, ability to transport, and storage capabilities. Examples include 35-40 functional ceramic pieces, 35-40 jewelry items, 20 matted prints, 10-12 medium-sized paintings, or 5-8 accent tables. A variety of price points will be sought ranging from affordable gifts ($20 to $100) to higher-end art and craft ($1200 to approximately $2500). A silent auction with items donated by participating artists will be available for in-person and online bidding, with proceeds split 50/50 between the Pecos Valley Potters Guild and the RMAC Foundation.

To apply, submit an application through the Art Café portal with a $40 application fee and images representing 3 items per category (up to 18 total images and 3 categories). Include an overall image and optional detail or alternative view for each item. Items should be representative of what you will provide if selected but need not be identical. All items must be original and handcrafted by the applicant; no reproductions are accepted except for limited-edition photographic prints. Eligible applicants are artists, artisans, craftspeople and makers from New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. Collaborative artists working together on the same items may apply under one application.
