Rosewood Gallery 24th Annual The View Landscape Exhibition

The View is a juried exhibition for Ohio artists exploring landscape or land imagery, environmental themes and world issues. Entrants may submit up to three works of art per entry, with up to two images per artwork. All media are considered. Artwork must have been created within the last four years. Artists must be residents of Ohio, and works previously exhibited at Rosewood Gallery are not eligible. The entry fee is $20 for up to three artworks. Multiple entries are permitted.

Jury selection is based on digital files. Results will be released by Monday, May 14 via email. Accepted work drop-off is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 10am–3pm and Monday, May 21, 4pm–8pm. Shipped artwork must arrive at Rosewood Gallery between May 14 and 21. All 2D work must be wired and ready to hang upon delivery. If shipped, works should be framed with Plexiglas rather than glass. Artists are responsible for shipping charges both ways, and return shipping must be prepaid. The exhibition runs Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, July 6, with an opening reception on Thursday, May 31, 6pm–8pm. Artwork pickup is Saturday, July 7, 10am–3pm and Monday, July 9, 4pm–8pm.

Awards totaling $1,100 will be distributed at the discretion of the juror, Kim Vito, Professor of Art and co-head of the printmaking area at Wright State University. Rosewood Gallery encourages sales, for which the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department retains a 30% commission. All work is insured during installation and display. Works remaining at Rosewood Arts Centre more than 30 days after the designated pick-up dates may be discarded or considered donations.
