Rosewood Gallery 12th Annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition

HWD (Height x Width x Depth) is a juried exhibition celebrating three-dimensional artwork by artists from Ohio and surrounding states. Established in 2007, HWD is the region's only gallery exhibition focused exclusively on sculpture.

Eligibility: Artists must be residents of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia. Entrants may submit up to three works of art per entry, with multiple entries permitted. All types of three-dimensional media are accepted including wood, fiber, stone, metal, glass, and mixed media. Artwork must be able to fit through the 79 x 34 inch gallery entryway and must have been created within the last four years. Entrants may provide up to three images per artwork. Entry fee is $20 for up to three artworks.

Key Dates: Entry deadline is Thursday, July 19 at 11:59pm. Results will be released by Friday, August 10 via email. Accepted work drop-off is Saturday, August 18, 10am–3pm and Monday, August 20, 4–8pm. Shipped artwork must arrive at Rosewood Gallery between August 13 and 20. The exhibition runs Monday, August 27 through Friday, October 5, with an opening reception on Thursday, August 30, 6–8pm. Artwork pickup is Saturday, October 6, 10am–3pm and Monday, October 8, 4–8pm.

Awards totaling $1,100 will be distributed at the discretion of the juror. The juror is Catherine Della Lucia, a sculptor and visiting lecturer in sculpture and ceramics at the University of Dayton. Rosewood Gallery encourages sales, for which the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department retains a 30% commission. All work is insured during installation and display. Artists shipping work are responsible for return shipping charges and must provide pre-paid labels through UPS or FedEx.
