Rosewood Arts Center 2025 Exhibition Proposals

The City of Kettering, Ohio and Rosewood Arts Center invite artists working in any media to submit proposals for exhibition in The Kettering Health Art Gallery during the 2025 Exhibition Season (January - December). The Kettering Health Art Gallery specializes in the exhibition of contemporary art by emerging local, regional and national artists. Six to eight solo exhibitions are presented each year with support from the City of Kettering Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and the Ohio Arts Council.

Proposals must include a cover letter describing the proposed exhibition, any special installation requirements, potential public engagement programs, and available dates; an artist's statement, resume, and previous exhibition record; and ten (10) images with corresponding titles, media, dimensions and dates. All media will be considered for exhibition, including video and installation pieces. A selection committee composed of three regional art professionals will make recommendations from submissions. Notifications of the jurors' decision will be emailed by August 22, 2024.

The City of Kettering insures all works while on exhibition and covers printing and distribution costs of an announcement mailer for each exhibition. An honorarium of $250 is provided to artists selected for exhibition. The gallery walls are constructed of drywall over plywood and cannot be altered other than by use of standard hanging hardware. Various pedestals are available for exhibitions. The Kettering Health Art Gallery does not provide equipment for multimedia installations. Current employees of the City of Kettering are not eligible for solo exhibitions. Entry fee is $25.00. Eligible artists must be adults residing in the United States.
