About This Call

CORE Art Space in Lakewood, Colorado invites artists to submit work for the "Rose Colored Glasses" exhibition. The call asks: What does "seeing the world through rose-colored glasses" mean to you? Whether it represents an optimistic filter on life, a tendency to view reality in a rosier hue, or simply a love of the world filled with rich reds, marvelous mauves, passionate pinks, and rhapsodic roses, artists are invited to show what they see through rose-colored glasses.

Artwork must not exceed 60 inches on its longest side, including frame. Submit 1-3 images of your work. Entry fee is $35. Work will be judged on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship. Please list all media used in the description field for your entries. The juror is Dana Cain, a show promoter and former board member of Denver's Art District on Santa Fe.

The exhibition runs February 17 - March 5, 2023. Accepted work must arrive at CORE by Friday, February 10, 2023, with in-person drop-off available through Sunday, February 12, 2023. Artists will be notified of acceptance by January 30, 2023. An artist reception is scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6:00-9:00pm. For questions, contact [email protected].
