Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois Art Gala Exhibition

Juried Art Exhibition for the new Ronald McDonald House in Peoria, Illinois. Artists 18 years of age and older residing within a 200-mile radius of Peoria, Illinois are eligible to submit. Artists may submit up to 10 works for consideration. All media, including 2D and 3D, and original Digital Art are accepted. Works must be no larger than 24 inches by 48 inches for 2-dimensional works. Subject matter should be appropriate for young children and convey hope, love, joy, safety and calmness. Some art may be reproduced for thematic use in the 17 private rooms.

Approximately 165 works of art will be selected to support a healing, nurturing environment in the new 40,000 square-foot Ronald McDonald House located at 401 NE Monroe, Peoria, IL 61604. The majority of work will be located in common areas and hallways, with each of the 22 private rooms featuring five thematically related works. Exterior works of art will also be selected. A jury of artists and individuals from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois will review all submitted works for appropriateness, presentation and overall quality.

The Art Gala Exhibition and Event will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Peoria, Illinois. Artists will be notified of acceptance on September 27, 2019. Delivery of works is required by October 18, 2019. Artists are responsible for all costs of delivery and return, including transportation and insurance. Works not purchased by donors at the event will be available for pick up on November 15, 2019. There is no entry fee. Works must be ready to hang or otherwise display upon delivery.
