Rocky Mountain Triennial

The Rocky Mountain Triennial is an all-media exhibition organized by the Museum of Art | Fort Collins. The exhibition presents contemporary artwork from the Intermountain West and is open to artists ages 18 and over residing in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to all media including fiber, jewelry, photography, printmaking, and woodworking (excluding giclee and canvas wrapped photography). Work must have been completed within the past 3 years and cannot have been part of a student high school or undergraduate assignment. Size limitations are 72" high for 2D wall art and 84" high for sculpture. Artists may submit up to 2 unique works with 2 images per piece (minimum 2 images, maximum 4 total images). One audio file or one video file may also be submitted. Entry fee is $40.00 for general artists or $30.00 for Museum of Art members (enter code MOA201 at checkout). The entry fee is non-refundable.

Awards and Exhibition: $2,000 in awards will be selected by juror Merry Scully. Awards include $1,000 Best In Show, $500 for 2nd Prize, $200 for 3rd Prize, and $100 for each of 3 Honorable Mentions. Award winners will be featured in a group exhibition and brochure at the Museum of Art | Fort Collins in 2025. The exhibition runs May 26 - August 6, 2023. Artwork accepted into the exhibition will be returned via the same transport and packing it arrived in; round trip shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist.
