Rocky Mountain Biennial

The Rocky Mountain Biennial is an all-media exhibition organized by the Museum of Art | Fort Collins. The exhibition is open to artists ages 18 and over residing in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. No work accepted that has been part of a student assignment.

Artists may submit up to 2 works completed within the past 3 years. Work sample requirements include a minimum of 2 images and a maximum of 6 images, with an optional audio file (maximum 1) and optional video file (maximum 1), for a total of 2-8 samples. Entry fee is $15 for Museum of Art members and $30 for general artists. The entry fee is non-refundable. Credit card payment is accepted with CaFé registration online.

The exhibition runs from July 31 - September 20, 2020. The juror is Leah Ollman, an art critic and writer for the Los Angeles Times since 1987 and Corresponding Editor for Art in America since 1997. Awards totaling $1,500 will be selected by the juror: $1,000 Best In Show (includes a solo exhibition and brochure at the Museum of Art | Fort Collins in 2021) and $500 for 2nd Prize. Entry deadline is June 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artists will be notified by email on July 6, 2020, with accepted work due at the museum by July 20, 2020. Round trip transport costs for accepted artwork will be paid by the exhibiting artist.
