Rockwall Art League 23rd Annual Juried Fine Art Show & Sale

Rockwall Art League presents the 23rd Annual Juried Fine Art Show & Sale, celebrating contemporary art in a variety of mediums. The show is open to artists residing in Texas and Oklahoma, age 18 and older. This year the show has expanded from a local event to include artists from across Texas and Oklahoma. The exhibition provides artists with visibility to art collectors in Rockwall County.

Up to $3,850 in cash prizes will be awarded, including Best in Show ($500), 1st Place in each category ($250), 2nd Place ($150), 3rd Place ($50), Mayor Award ($100), and People's Choice ($100). Categories include Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Photography/Digital Art, Drawing, Sculpture, and Mixed Media. Sculpture entries cannot include jewelry, installation art, video, or audio enhancements due to gallery limitations.

Entry fee is $35 for up to two works, with an additional $5 per work up to five total entries. Submitted works must be original and created after January 1, 2020. Two-dimensional works must not exceed 48" in width and height (including frame) and weigh 50 lbs. or less. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 40" in width or depth, 36" in height plus pedestal, with total height not exceeding 72". All entries must be family friendly; artwork including nudes, conspicuously religious content, drug references, or blatant political statements will not be accepted. Works must not have been displayed at previous Rockwall Art League Annual Fine Art Shows. Artwork must be labeled on the back with name, title, size, and medium. A 20% commission will be deducted from all sales. Shipped artwork incurs a $10 surcharge. The exhibition runs September 22-30, 2023, with a reception and awards ceremony on September 23 at 5:00 pm. Notification of acceptance will be sent September 2, 2023.
