RIWS Presents: Anything Goes Open Juried Show

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society (RIWS) presents "Anything Goes," an open juried show accepting any 2D media. The society is proud to support watercolor and other traditional water media materials and methods, and this show encourages all artists to break the norm by accepting any 2D media for jurying. The juror will select approximately 65 pieces to be shown in the Main Gallery, Library Gallery, and Classroom Gallery at Slater Memorial Park in Pawtucket.

Eligibility is open to all New England artists. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous RIWS juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially or wholly painted by another artist. Artists may submit up to 3 images of their work. Entry fee is $15.00 per entry (non-refundable). Images must be JPEGs up to 5MB with a minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi resolution.

Accepted artists will be notified by email and posted on the RIWS website by June 25. The exhibition runs July 8 through August 4, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 8 from 2-4pm. Prizes include First prize: $100, Second prize: $75, Third prize: $50, plus Honorable Mentions. All work sold during the exhibition is subject to an RIWS commission of 25% for members and 35% for non-members. Work must be professionally presented and framed, with specific requirements for matting, framing, and wiring.
