About This Call
Quad City Arts' 33rd Annual Riverssance Festival of Fine Art is a premier fine arts festival showcasing nearly 100 artists throughout the greater Midwest. The festival takes place Saturday, September 19, 2020, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 20, 2020, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Lindsay Park in the Village of East Davenport, Iowa, on a scenic bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.
Artists receive booth setup assistance, "art angels" for booth breaks, lunch order delivery, complimentary water, and a commemorative festival t-shirt. Each exhibitor is assigned a 12-x-12-foot booth space. Artists must supply all necessary display equipment; all canopies must be white and able to withstand winds and rain. Setup is available after 1 p.m. on Friday, September 18, with mandatory setup completion by 10 a.m. on Saturday. No electricity is supplied to booths. Artists are required to display during all public event hours on both days with no rain date.
All artwork must be original and created by the artist. Limited edition prints are permitted but must be clearly marked as reproductions. Commercial exhibits, buy-and-sell items, items made from kits, and commercially molded articles are not permitted. Artists may apply in multiple categories with separate applications, jury fees, and images for each. Jurying is based on five digital images (four of work from the last three years and one booth display image) and evaluated on originality, technical skill, design/vision, and cohesiveness. Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable jury fee) plus $175 booth fee. Awards include one $600 Best of Show, ten $225 Merit awards, and one $150 People's Choice award presented Saturday evening. A reception for participating artists follows public hours Saturday evening.
