Riverfront Art Festival 2025

CANCELED: Due to unforeseen organizational changes—including the recent resignation of our Director—we are currently undergoing a transition period. As we work to ensure a smooth leadership change and the continued integrity of our programming, we felt it would not be possible to host the event to the standard that our artists, vendors, and community partners deserve.

The Riverfront Art Festival, hosted by the Fort Madison Area Arts Association, is a vibrant, family-friendly event celebrating the creative spirit of Southeast Iowa. Set along the scenic Mississippi River in Fort Madison's Riverview Park, this juried festival showcases an exciting blend of fine art, artisan crafts, live performances, and hands-on experiences. Happening Sunday, September 14, from 10 AM to 4 PM, the festival offers a unique opportunity for artists and makers to connect with a diverse and enthusiastic audience.

Accepted media includes painting, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, photography, glass, jewelry, wood, metalwork, printmaking, and artisanal goods. Artists receive a 10'x10' booth space, social media promotion, booth-sitting volunteers, and access to nearby restrooms and food vendors. The $50 booth fee ($75 for non-members) is due upon acceptance and non-refundable after August 15, 2025. All work must be original and handcrafted, with artists present for the full event duration. Setup begins at 7:30 AM with booths ready by 10:00 AM.
