River Market Regional Exhibition 2007

River Market Regional Exhibition, July 13 – August 17, 2007. Open to artists who are current residents of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas or Oklahoma. Entries must be original work, completed in the last two years and not previously shown in The Artists Coalition's Galleries.

All media is eligible. Submit 2-5 images online at www.CallForEntry.org. Entry fee is $20 for 2 entries minimum, $10 for additional entries up to 5. Artists Coalition members may submit up to five images for the minimum entry fee of $20.00 and can apply a member discount coupon code at checkout. Video artists must submit still images online and mail a DVD to RMRE, Kansas City Artists Coalition, 201 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO 64105 by May 15. Work requiring special installation will be accepted only if the artist is available to install July 6th. If accepted, video artists must provide display equipment for the duration of the exhibition.

Artists will be notified beginning June 4. Accepted works must be delivered June 20-23 (shipped prepaid or hand delivered 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.). Hand delivered work must be picked up August 18 between 11-4 p.m. Shipped work will be returned August 22-24. The exhibition features $2000 in cash prizes selected by juror Elizabeth Dunbar, Curator at Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin, Texas. The Artists Coalition will publish an illustrated catalog with an essay by Ms. Dunbar and distribute it to contemporary art curators and gallery directors nationally. The Artists Coalition takes 30% commission on work sold from the exhibition. The Artists Coalition provides insurance for the exhibition; artists are responsible for providing their own insurance on works during shipment. Opening Reception is July 13, 5-8 p.m.
